Pope Shenouda III and Tarek Heggy

Throughout the past thirty years I met with HH Pope Shenouda III more than 100 times. Most of these meetings took place in Anba Beshoi Monastery (Wadi al Natroun) and gathered only the two of us, i.e. the Pope and myself. While none of these meetings lasted for less than two hours, some meetings lasted for 6 hours. I wrote several articles about this friendship. Yet, I currently feel the urge to write in details the story of this friendship. This photo was shot some 25 years ago in the Coptic Cathedral in Abbasyia/Cairo in February, 1987.
