Political Islam threatens modernity and its values

My studies and interest in political Islam during the last four decades have led me to the total conviction of the following twelve points:

1) While there are many "moderate Muslims" in the world, there is not a single "moderate Islamist."

2) Political Islam and modernity can not coexist in the same place or at the same time.

3) Violence and blood are not hallmarks of certain movements of political Islam, but are an integral part of the nature and constitution of political Islam itself.

4) The movements of political Islam, whether linked to a single regulatory framework or not, all form a single entity bound by the common goals of: establishing the Caliphate, applying sharia instead of positive law, and finally to join each place of the globe to the Caliphate - which resembles the Marxist theory of internationalization.

5) Political Islam is like a tree; the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists (including the Wahhabis) are its trunk, while the rest of the movements of political Islam like Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State (DAESH), Al-Nosra, Boko Haram, the Islamic Courts, Al-Shabab, and all jihadist organizations are branches of this same tree.

6) Some Western states (like Barack Obama's administration in the United States) support the organization of the Muslim Brotherhood; this constitutes a huge betrayal of all the principles and values of freedom and modernity. It also provides license to the enemies of freedom and modernity to put an end to these values. Whether this support is due to ignorance or miscalculation, human civilization will pay dearly if it does not realize that there is no common principle between modernity and democracy on the one hand, and political Islam the other.

7) Europe evolved only when it ended the conflict between civil society and theocracy, a conflict whose main purpose (according to civil society) was "the total separation of the Church and the State." Thus, the support of some Western governments for certain movements of political Islam (wrongly thinking that they are moderate movements) is a perfect betrayal of the principle of the separation of Church and State - a principle that does not antagonize religion, but sees it as a personal issue and one that should not be a benchmark for community management.

8) The terrorist acts of September 11, 2001 in the United States, the Charlie Hebdo newspaper attack on January 7, 2015 in Paris and the terrorist crimes that have since followed are the natural result of fundamental thoughts that form the infrastructure of the ideology of political Islam.

9) Many western states today live with an "imminent danger." In France for example, within many cities, basic values of French society are threatened - namely plurality, acceptance of others, relativity, freedom of conscience, freedom of expression, rights of women being equal to those of  men, modern liberal education (in the classical sense), fundamental human rights, and the use of reason and critical thinking.

10) Some movements of political Islam, especially the Muslim Brotherhood, have become experts in  their understanding of Western societies. They know the shortcomings by which they can insinuate  not only influence but direction. Thus, they use democracy to arrive at a power that can only be theocratic, fascist, and imbued with terrorism. We are at the point where the Muslim Brotherhood has managed - by means of money - to control a number of members of Western parliaments, who promote the myth that the Muslim Brotherhood is moderate, and the myth that the Muslim Brotherhood has given up on violence.

11) The morals of organizations like the Islamic State and Boko Haram do not differ from those of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Wahhabis or all Salafists.

12) To defend the right of Islamists to live among Western societies while keeping their own values that are contrary to the values of modernity is to commit a serious crime against modernity and democracy, a crime that goes beyond the danger of the crime of silence committed by Europe and the world towards Nazism before it became strong, between 1933 and 1936.

Finally, when I walk in some Islamist neighborhoods (not Muslim) of several cities in France and England, I want to shout: O West! Are you stupid, ignorant, foolish, or weak to let snakes multiply on your land - as it has been for almost half a century, certifying that your future will be black, overflowing with violence, regression and conflict?
